I think I pretty much have the large meals figured out, but I'm having problems with snacks, drinks, and breakfast.

For breakfast I tried doing the cottage cheese and fruit with some nuts, but while I love cottage cheese, it just makes me want to gag in the mornings(never been a big breakfast eater) and I really dont like omletts. I like eggs prepared other ways just not ommlets. What is a good zone breakfast that is quick to throw together. This morning I just couldnt stomach the idea of cottage cheese so I went for a yogurt and peanuts, but I'm not sure thats a good enough breakfast is it?

As far as snacks I usually have to have my snacks at work and cant really warm anything up, so I'm not sure what kids of things to take. I've been doing solely the zone bars at work, but I want to change it up a bit. Any ideas?

and drinks, I have two zone books and I couldnt really find anything in them about appropriate everyday drinks. I see a lot of shakes and smoothies but I need to know what the best thing to grab on the go is? I've been doing home brewed iced tea sweetened with equal(I know stevia is better but I want to use up this equal before I buy it) will this keep me in the zone? I do drink about a bottle(20 oz) of water a day too on top of the probably 60-80 oz of tea a day. Is it ok for me to stick with the tea? or should I find something else? The problem is that I have never really liked water and need some sort of flavored drink to satisfy my thirst.

sorry so long, any advice is appreciated!

Breakfast can be anything you like, as long as you follow Zone guidelines and balance it to your usual proportions for a meal.

Snacks: Yogurt, tuna mixed with mayo or olive oil eeaten wit cut veggies, an oz of low fat cheese and some fruit, etc. See the suggestions on this site, for more ideas.

Best is water, but also try carbonated water with a squeeze of lemon or lime, or even with a splash o juice, such pomegranate fo cranberry (a very small splash...lots of C in juice!).

I'd make sure it's decaf tea, and would also have concern about drinking all that artificial sweetener.

I looked at the perfect meals in minutes again and decided to go with 6 peanuts, I bought little cans of fruit that are 4 oz. in size and cheese. the only problem I'm having is that I cant find low fat cheese, so thought I would cut it back to 1/2 oz instead of 1 full oz. I think I'm getting it figured out. Thank you for your guidence!

No don't cut back to 1/2 oz cheese. That would throw off your P/C and would spike your insulin. You might try cottage cheese.
