I just bought A Week in the Zone, and I thought I understood it perfectly. It tells how to divide the plate into three portions, and have a section of lean protein, and to add vegetables and fruit to the rest of the plate. Now looking on the site, everything is in blocks. Has this been updated? Can I still use the other method? I am assuming it's been updated. I saw the book I bought at the book store, but I found it second hand for 2 dollars, so I bought that one. My book was printed in 2000. Is there another book that explains the block system? Thanks in advance for your help. :) Ann

It explains the block method really well, it also talks about the plate method. I haven't read "A Week in the Zone". On Zonediet.com, they actually tend to encourage the hand/eye or plate method for beginners. But, I feel that the block system keeps me honest when I measure portions.
