Hi

I'm trying to find out how I can measure how many blocks of P:C:F are in protein bars etc so I can find the right one for me.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where this is written OR can anyone explain it to me?

I would like to be able to be out and about and be able to pick up a bar or something and be able to work out how many blocks there are in it.

Can anyone help?

You could order the Zone Bars off the Zone website. My favorite flavor is Chocolate Raspberry. With the Zone bars, there is no need to measure P/C/F-it's perfectly balanced. I think one bar equals two balanced blocks. If you need a one block snack, just eat half of the bar. Save the other half for another snack-they keep nice in a ziplock bag after they are opened. I keep some in my desk at work and tuck one in my bag if I am out for a few hours.

Hi Renae!

We eat Dr. Sears Zone Bars at our house too. They are only available from Zone Labs and possibly from some medical practitioners who sell Dr. Sears Zone products. They are not sold in retail stores. They're also great for a quick meal on the run. 1 1/2 bars would be a 3 block meal, 2 bars a 4 block meal. We like them for travel, too, especially for an easy meal on a flight. I love the newest flavors, especially Cocoa Crisp, and Sweet & Salty Nut.

Thanks for that. I'm in Australia and can't seem to locate anywhere that sells Dr Sears Zone products.

I'm also looking at the long term as well as I would like to be able to pick up a packet and be able to know the breakdown.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Renae,

You're welcome.

Here are the amouts you'd need in grams for one balanced Zone block.

7 grams protein

plus

9 grams insulin stimulating C (Insulin stimulating C is the total C minus the total fiber when using US nutritional info; not sure if fiber is included in the total C in Australian nutritional info.)

plus

3 grams fat

Thanks Sue.

I'll see if I can find protein bars here in Australia that meets those measurements.

Thanks again!

My pleasure Renae!

Let us know what you find. There are other zoners in these forum from Australia, too!

Also, Zone Labs ships just about anywhere in the world if you want to try their's. Click on INTERNATIONAL at the top right of this page for more info on that.
