Hi there. I just started on the Zone this week, and I've got a question. I took out 2 books from the library: "Enter the Zone (1995)" and "Zone Meals in Seconds (2004)".

The Food Block Guide is pretty consistent between the two books, except for the carbohydrates. Almost all of the carb foods listed in the Zone Meals in Seconds book are doubled in quantity compared to the Enter the Zone book. Raw brocolli, for example, has gone from 2 cups to 4 cups as 1 block. It's a pretty big difference, and I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and what quantities people use.

Thanks for your help!

Michael

michael, the carb lists were revised between the writing of those two books. Go by the newer one. when i doubt, check the current block list on this site.

Actually, I don't believe that the list on this site is up to date. It is still showing carrots as unfavorable (high density, use sparingly). Carrots were moved from unfavorable to favorable as of the printing of the Anti-Inflammation Zone.

Hum, that is interesting, maybe I should get his lastest book! I like carrots and it would be nice to have them as favorable!

It certainly would be really convenient if the most up-to-date information were right here on this site! Well, maybe it is an oversight, and the moderators of the forums will pick up on this little tidbit and take some action (hint-hint)
