This was a favorite of mine years ago. I haven't been able to find it on the web but managed to dig it out of and old notebook I had. It is really good and perfect for a good 30 minute meal during the week.
4 – 3 block meals
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey
1 large onion (chopped)
2 stalks celery(diced)
1 green pepper (chopped)
½ cup Ketchup
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
2 regular pitas (6.5 inches/2.3oz) cut in half
Instructions:
Spray large pan lightly with cooking spray (I add a little olive oil to get my good fats too). Brown turkey and onions over medium heat until turkey is cooked. Stir in remaining ingredients (except Pita's). Cover and cook over low heat until vegetables are tender (10-15 min). This serves 4 (3-block) meals. Once it is cooked I just divide the pan into 4 sections to determine each 3-block portion.
