New Web sites to better serve our Zone community
After nearly a year in development, Zone Labs' new Web sites are up. These Web sites are part of our ambitious effort to transform our sites into a consumer friendly, content-driven informational resource to help everyone reach their personal goals.
"For the first time in Zone Labs' history we can now talk specifically to the unique needs of each of our three main client groups: Weight Loss clients, Wellness clients and Athletes," Petter Etholm, Zone Labs CEO, said.
Although the goals are different, the same Zone dietary approach is used to reach each of those goals.
This first generation of new Zone Web sites will have weekly blogs based on breaking research that are applicable to each particular site. Zone Labs is already working on a second generation in which video content becomes a more integral part of each site. This includes testimonials, interviews on health and performance topics, and how-do cooking demonstrations with our new Zone Foods.
"Essentially we are in the process of transforming our Web sites into a health video network that combines the best of Oprah, CNN, and the Food Network," Dr. Sears said.
This video emphasis was one of the reasons for the delay of the new Web sites since Zone Labs had to simultaneously build a video network infrastructure in collaboration with Cisco Systems.
"This complex infrastructure allows one-way video conferencing, which is essential for our new Zone Coaches concept," Dr. Sears said.
This exciting development, which will be explained in future newsletters, allows real-time video conferencing between your personal Zone Coach and you that requires only that you have access to the Internet via a smart-phone, a tablet, or any type of personal computer. Cisco Systems will take care of the rest, Dr. Sears said. Our present Zone Coach concept will be enhanced in the near future. Information on the coaches is found under Tools.
"With your continued input, we hope to make our new Zone Web sites your primary resource for health and wellness that leads to a better and longer life. Welcome to our new Zone Community," Dr. Sears said.
